Hey fellow eco-warriors! I recently embarked on a mission to repaint my living room using only natural paints, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. I started with Earthborn Paints, which I chose for their zero-VOC promise and clay-based formula. The color was rich, and the application was smooth, but I noticed it took about three coats to get the coverage I was aiming for. Not bad, but I was hoping for something a bit more efficient.
Next up, I tried Auro Natural Paints. Their plant-based ingredients and the fact that they’re biodegradable really appealed to me. This time, I was pleasantly surprised to find that two coats were sufficient for excellent coverage. The paint dried to a beautiful, even finish, and the color depth was impressive.
I’m curious, has anyone else experimented with these brands or others like Biofa or Eco Paints? How many coats did you need for full coverage? Also, did you find any particular brand worked better on certain surfaces? I’m especially interested in experiences with wood and plaster. Let’s share our stories and tips to help each other make more informed, eco-friendly choices in our DIY projects!
