Hey everyone!
I’ve been on a journey to make my home more eco-friendly, and my latest project is repainting the walls. I’m looking for natural paint brands that offer great opacity without compromising on environmental values. So far, I’ve tried Earthborn Paints and Auro, both of which have impressed me with their low VOC content and the richness of their colors. However, I’m still on the hunt for that perfect balance between eco-consciousness and coverage.
I painted my living room with Earthborn’s Claypaint, and while I love the texture and the fact that it’s breathable, I noticed it took a couple of coats to get the depth of color I wanted. Auro’s natural paints were easier to apply and had a smoother finish, but I’m curious if there are other brands out there that might offer even better opacity with fewer coats.
I’m particularly interested in paints that are compatible with plaster walls, as that’s what most of my house has. Also, any insights into the environmental impact of the manufacturing process would be super helpful. What brands have you tried for opaque, natural wall paints? Any tips on application or brands I should check out? Let’s share our experiences and help each other make more sustainable choices!

Haven’t tried Aglaia yet, but your experience sounds promising. I’ve been leaning towards Biofa for my next project. Heard their paints are not only eco-friendly but also have a great reputation for covering well in fewer coats. They’re a bit on the pricier side, but if it means less product used and better for the planet, I’m all for it. Anyone here have experience with Biofa paints on plaster walls?
