I think the price variation is also due to the different regulations in each region. Some places have stricter VOC regulations, which might increase the cost of production and, in turn, the retail price. It’s interesting to see how policy can impact the market like that.
I’ve been using VOC-free paints for a while now and I’ve definitely noticed the price differences. But I think it’s worth it for the quality and the peace of mind knowing I’m not exposing my family to harmful chemicals. I try to look for sales or buy in bulk to save some money. It’s all about finding the right balance.
