Best non-toxic paint options for laminate cabinets: What worked for me

I didn’t have a sprayer, so I went old school with a high-density foam brush for the Auro’s paint. It took a bit longer, but the finish was surprisingly smooth. Just go slow and steady, and don’t overload the brush with paint. Patience is key!

I tried both a roller and a brush, but honestly, the best results I got were with a combination of both. I used the brush for the edges and corners, and the roller for the flat surfaces. It took a bit more time, but the finish was worth it. Also, don’t skip the primer, it makes a huge difference.

I was worried about brush marks too, so I did a test patch on a piece of scrap laminate first. It really helped me figure out the right amount of paint to use and the best technique. I ended up using a mini roller for most of it, and it turned out great. Definitely recommend doing a test first.

One thing I learned the hard way is to not rush the drying process. I tried to speed things up with a hairdryer, and it caused the paint to bubble. Stick to natural drying times, even if it takes longer. Also, make sure your workspace is dust-free to avoid particles getting stuck in the paint.
